Delavan Animal Clinic is seeking a compassionate, team-oriented Veterinary Technician to join our growing practice. Our technicians are valued medical professionals who play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care, client service, diagnostics, treatment, anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, and nursing care. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and passionate about veterinary medicine. Responsibilities include obtaining patient histories and vital signs, performing patient assessments, administering treatments and medications, maintaining accurate medical records, collecting laboratory samples, performing diagnostic testing, obtaining radiographs, placing IV catheters, calculating and administering fluid therapy, assisting with emergency and critical care, supporting CPR efforts, preparing and monitoring patients for anesthesia and surgery, assisting with dental and surgical procedures, educating clients on preventative care and treatment plans, providing discharge instructions, maintaining hospital cleanliness and organization, supporting inventory management, and contributing to a positive team culture. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, graduation from a Veterinary Technology program or equivalent veterinary experience, strong communication skills, and a commitment to patient safety and high-quality care. CVT, LVT, or RVT credentials, Fear Free certification, companion animal experience, and familiarity with electronic medical records are preferred. Candidates must be able to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, safely restrain animals, and work in a fast-paced veterinary environment.
