Client Services Representative – Emergency & Specialty Veterinary $18–$24/hour + Shift Differentials | Vancouver, WA | 24/7 Emergency & Specialty Hospital Schedule: Full-time, rotating shifts with evening/overnight, weekend, and holiday availability required. $2/hour evening/overnight differential for shifts worked between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m., plus an additional $2/hour weekend differential. Pacific Northwest Pet ER & Specialty Center is hiring a Client Services Representative to join our 24/7 emergency and specialty veterinary hospital in Vancouver, WA, just outside Portland, OR. This role is ideal for an experienced customer service professional with 1–2 years of veterinary or medical experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and supporting clients and their pets during both routine and emergency visits. In Your Day-to-Day You Will Greet clients, check patients in and out, admit patients, and schedule recheck appointments Provide compassionate and professional veterinary client service in a high-volume emergency environment Answer phones promptly, assess client needs, and appropriately triage emergency calls and arriving emergency cases Communicate with clients regarding hospital processes, payment options, deposits, and admission paperwork Collect deposit payments and process admission and transfer paperwork for hospitalized patients Manage front desk and hospital workflow to help ensure efficient patient and client flow Take accurate messages and direct callers to the appropriate department or team member Manage patient referral records by monitoring email, referral requests, and faxes and uploading records to the appropriate electronic medical record Assist clients with euthanasia paperwork and send sympathy cards Perform administrative duties including printing documents, records, schedules, and charts; filing; emailing records; and distributing mail Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked front desk, file room, and client coffee/snack area Monitor inventory needs and submit supply requests Follow OSHA regulations and hospital safety protocols Participate in rotating holiday and on-call coverage as needed Perform other duties as assigned What We’re Looking For High school diploma or equivalent 2+ years of customer service experience 1–2 years of veterinary or medical experience Previous experience in a veterinary hospital, emergency hospital, medical practice, or other high-volume healthcare environment preferred Strong computer skills and ability to learn and navigate new software Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to multitask accurately and professionally in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Flexible and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities Ability to work collaboratively as part of a veterinary hospital team Ability to communicate with compassion, patience, and professionalism in sensitive situations About Pacific Northwest Pet ER & Specialty Center Pacific Northwest Pet ER & Specialty Center is a 24/7 emergency and specialty veterinary hospital located in Vancouver, WA, just outside Portland, OR.
