Requirements
Key Responsibilities Perform physical exams, diagnostics, and medical evaluations for dogs, cats, and exotics if consistent with training and credentialing. Diagnose conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans. Perform surgeries and dental procedures as qualified. Prescribe medications and therapies in compliance with state and federal regulations. Maintain accurate and timely medical records. Communicate medical findings and options clearly with clients. Collaborate with technicians, assistants, and support staff to ensure efficient patient flow and quality care. Practice across multiple clinic locations as needed and participate in on-call or emergency coverage. Uphold clinic policies, safety standards, and confidentiality requirements. Contribute to a respectful, learning-focused team culture aligned with company values. Compensation & Incentives Competitive compensation model based on production and pharmacy percentage. On-call coverage is compensated separately at a highly competitive rate, providing additional earning opportunity beyond base and production pay. Qualifications DVM or VMD degree from an accredited veterinary college. Active Washington State veterinary license in good standing. DEA registration eligibility (if prescribing controlled substances). Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-doctor environment and travel between clinic locations as needed. Preferred: experience in small animal medicine, surgery, dentistry, or exotics, and interest in mentorship or professional development. Schedule & Environment May include evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations. Work performed primarily in a clinical veterinary setting with exposure to animals, medical equipment, and typical hospital conditions. Requires standing for extended periods, manual dexterity for medical procedures, and the ability to safely handle animal patients with assistance or equipment as appropriate.
