We are available for scheduled appointments 7 days a week and are the only exotic-exclusive hospital to offer 24-hour emergency care. Everything at our state-of-the-art, 7000 square foot facility was designed with the special needs of birds and exotic pets in mind. Our hospital is located 10 miles north of Seattle, in Bothell, Washington. As an exotic exclusive practice, we-provide medical care for all animals except for horses, cows, and domestic dogs/cats.

​​  Client Service Representative – Bothell, WA $21–$24/hour | Full-Time | 10-Hour Shifts | Day/Swing | Bothell, WA The Center for Bird and Exotic Animal Medicine (CBEAM) is hiring a Client Service Representative (CSR) to be the welcoming first point of contact for clients and their exotic pets. This full-time role pays $21–$24/hour and offers 10-hour day/swing shifts, with weekends as needed. Join a 24/7 veterinary hospital where you'll combine exceptional client service with emergency communication and coordination of specialty care for birds, reptiles, small mammals, and other exotic pets. About CBEAM CBEAM is a leading exotic animal veterinary hospital near Seattle, providing scheduled appointments 7 days a week and the area's only exotic-exclusive 24-hour emergency care. Our growing team of veterinarians and support staff provides compassionate, specialized care for non-traditional pets. As a CSR, you'll work closely with the Client Service Manager, veterinarians, and veterinary technicians to keep clients informed and ensure patients move smoothly through their appointments, treatments, and discharges. In your day-to-day you will Welcome clients and their pets, determine their needs, and provide a warm, professional first impression of CBEAM. Manage check-in and check-out, helping maintain an efficient flow of clients and patients throughout the hospital. Answer, prioritize, and triage incoming phone calls, including communicating incoming emergencies to the veterinary team. Schedule wellness visits, rechecks, surgeries, procedures, vaccinations, and appointments based on patient needs and hospital protocols. Communicate with clients by phone and through approved hospital communication systems, documenting conversations accurately in patient records. Review daily appointment schedules and update client and patient information as needed. Coordinate messages between clients, veterinarians, technicians, and other hospital team members. Perform client and patient callbacks and assist with appointment reminders and overdue wellness outreach. Process prescription requests and follow established protocols for outside pharmacy requests. Educate clients about available hospital services, wellness plans, products, and prescription recommendations. Process payments, collect fees, make change, authorize credit transactions, and reconcile the cash drawer as assigned. Assist clients with over-the-counter food, toys, and other pet products by providing knowledgeable and appropriate recommendations. Prepare referral, welcome, thank-you, and condolence correspondence for clients. Maintain a clean, welcoming reception and waiting area, including restocking supplies and client education materials. Respond appropriately to emergencies and provide clients with basic instructions for safely transporting an animal to the hospital. What we're looking for High school diploma or GED Previous client service or customer service experience required; veterinary, medical, or related experience preferred Excellent telephone etiquette and interpersonal skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to remain compassionate, professional, and composed when working with clients experiencing stressful or emotional situations Basic understanding of veterinary medical terminology, products, and services preferred Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email Veterinary practice-management software experience preferred Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative veterinary team Schedule Full-time 40 hours per week 10-hour shifts Day and swing shifts available Weekends as needed In-person position Benefits Eligible full-time employees receive: Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off Quarterly bonus pay Employee pet discounts Employee Assistance Program 401(k) plan Uniform stipend Why Join CBEAM?
