Fairhaven Veterinary Hospital is a Fear-Free Certified and independently-owned small animal practice in Western Washington. Our mission is to provide compassionate and quality care for both client and patient based on the principles of the Fear Free Initiative. We are located in the historic and serene Fairhaven neighborhood of Bellingham, right on the Interurban trail, and minutes from the waterfront. Bellingham is a diverse college town with a vibrant mix of businesses, arts and recreation on the Salish Sea in Northern Washington. We have everything: the sea, the mountains, lakes and rivers, and easy access to Canada. If you are an outdoor enthusiast, you belong here!
Requirements
The Licensed Veterinary Technicians at Fairhaven Veterinary Hospital are the drivers of Fear Free care. They get to flex their skills and operate to the extent of their licensure in a variety of roles- from outpatient, to urgent care, surgery, and dentistry. Our LVTs play a vital role in patient advocacy and client education and are looked to as leaders on the floor. As a business, we prioritize continued education and creating pathways to growth, resilience and longevity in the veterinary industry. Our teams leave on time, get a lunch break routinely, and have the appropriate level of staffing needed to provide top-notch care to our patients and their people. Compassionate care is a core value and dictates how we treat our patients and one another.
