Provide advanced nursing care for ICU, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Oncology, and Urgent Care patients Monitor hospitalized and critically ill patients while recognizing and communicating changes in patient condition Perform technical skills including IV catheter placement, medication administration, dosage calculations, and fluid therapy management Provide nutritional support and individualized nursing care for hospitalized patients Collect, prepare, and process diagnostic laboratory samples Assist veterinarians with diagnostics, treatments, specialty procedures, and advanced patient care Support patient stabilization and ongoing critical care monitoring Maintain accurate and detailed medical records Communicate compassionately and professionally with clients regarding hospitalized patients Support inventory management for medications, equipment, and ICU supplies Collaborate closely with specialists, urgent care clinicians, Veterinary Technicians, and support teams to provide exceptional patient care Qualifications 3+ years of Veterinary Technician experience required ICU, Emergency, urgent care, or specialty veterinary experience strongly preferred CVT, RVT, or LVT credential preferred Strong technical nursing skills and attention to detail Ability to thrive in a fast-paced multi-specialty environment Excellent communication and client service skills Team-oriented, dependable, and motivated to learn Passion for providing exceptional patient care and advocacy Fluent English speaking and reading skills required About PEAK Veterinary Referral Center PEAK is a 14,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art multi-specialty veterinary hospital providing care to pets throughout the region.
