Job Description

Urgent Care Veterinarian | No Overnights + Production | Greater Burlington, VT Full-Time | Base + Production | No Overnight ER Shifts | Sign-On Bonus | Relocation Assistance Love the pace and variety of emergency medicine but not the overnight schedule? We're looking for a full-time Urgent Care Veterinarian to join a companion animal practice in the Greater Burlington area. This opportunity offers the interesting cases and faster pace of urgent care while allowing you to maintain a schedule without overnight ER shifts. It's a great fit for an experienced urgent care or ER veterinarian—or a GP veterinarian who enjoys challenging cases and wants to transition into urgent care with the right support. The Opportunity You'll provide medical care for dogs and cats presenting with urgent illnesses and injuries that need timely attention but don't necessarily require a traditional 24/7 emergency hospital. Cases may include: • Acute illness and injury • Vomiting and diarrhea • Lacerations and wounds • Respiratory concerns • Pain and mobility issues • Toxicities and ingestions • Minor trauma • Diagnostic workups • Urgent surgical cases • Stabilization and referral when a higher level of care is needed You'll have the opportunity to work collaboratively with an experienced veterinary support team while practicing high-quality medicine in a fast-paced environment. Why This Opportunity Stands Out • No overnight ER shifts • Competitive base salary plus production bonus • Flexible scheduling with an emphasis on work-life balance • Sign-on bonus available • Relocation assistance • Medical, dental and vision insurance • Generous paid time off • Continuing education support • Mentorship and professional development • Collaborative, team-oriented environment Who We're Looking For • DVM, VMD or equivalent veterinary degree • Active Vermont veterinary license or ability to obtain one • Urgent care or emergency experience is welcomed but not required • GP veterinarians with a strong interest in urgent care are encouraged to apply • Comfortable working through time-sensitive cases and changing priorities • Strong client communication skills • Calm, compassionate approach to patient care • Collaborative and team-oriented If you enjoy the clinical variety and challenge of ER medicine but want a schedule that leaves the overnight shifts behind, this could offer the best of both worlds. Interested? Let's have a confidential conversation and tell you more.
