We are located inside Hope Advanced Veterinary Center, which is a multi-specialty + emergency small animal hospital located in Vienna, VA. We offer all surgical services for this hospital, and work with the other specialty departments on a daily basis for a unified, collaborative approach to provide the best medical care for our patients! Job Description

Veterinary Surgical Center at Hope Advanced Veterinary Center is looking to add a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Technician to our team at our Vienna location. This role will work primarily with our boarded surgeons and residents in our surgery service, but will also have the opportunity to work with our boarded neurologist and their team.      At VSC, we are committed to providing world-class orthopedic and soft tissue surgery in a respectful environment that brings comfort to owners and instills confidence in primary care veterinarians. Each of our clinics shares a facility with other specialty practices, allowing for direct daily collaboration with specialists. This collaborative approach to medicine allows for the highest quality of patient care as well as opportunities for continuous learning.   Specialty Float Veterinary Technician    Veterinary Surgical Center and Rehabilitation at Hope Advanced Veterinary Center in Vienna, VA   Eligible for up to a $3,000 sign-on incentive bonus    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES   Deliver compassionate, high-quality care to patients and their families    Conduct physical assessments and document findings accurately    Assist in medical surgical procedures, including anesthesia monitoring and fluid administration    Performing all laboratory in-hospital procedures and to prepare specimens for outside laboratories    Maintain and prepare exam rooms, treatment areas, and specialty equipment   Educate clients on home care and follow-up procedures    Prepare treatment estimates and discuss financial commitments with clients    Ensure proper inventory management and communicate supply needs    Maintain detailed and compliant medical records    BENEFITS   We’re passionate about helping you reach your greatest potential – both at work and at home: Competitive compensation and insurance (medical, dental, vision)    401(k) with up to 4% company match after 6 months    Generous paid time off and bonding leave    Company-paid life, AD&D, and short-term disability insurance    Continuing education allowance and license fee reimbursement    Employee referral program and uniform allowance    Plus, special benefits to utilize for your own pet: Pet Care: Discounts on veterinary services and products   Pet Diagnostics: Discounts on reference lab testing   Pet Food: Discounts on Purina pet foods   REQUIREMENTS     Active LVT or RVT license in Virginia (or eligibility for transfer)    Experience in specialty veterinary medicine and/or small animal anesthesia, as well as certification (CVT, RVT, LVT) is required    VTS (Anesthesia or Surgery) members are HIGHLY encouraged to apply    We are willing to consider licensed or certified candidates with less experience who have a strong desire to advance their knowledge and practice of anesthesia    Strong knowledge of canine anatomy and rehabilitation practices    Excellent communication and client service skills    Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment    Positive attitude and commitment to continuous learning    Rarebreed Veterinary Partners is a purpose-driven team that places talent first by supporting professionals to thrive in our industry and empowering hospital teams to provide exceptional care for pets and their owners.
