We're hiring an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our outstanding Neurology team! We offer a generous sign- on bonus up to $3,000 for qualified Licensed Veterinary Technicians. If you answered yes to these questions, then we may be looking for you at Bush Veterinary Neurology Service- Richmond, VA!  About you: You have a strong foundational understanding and can perform the basic responsibilities of a veterinary technician including (but not limited to): Venipuncture Placing IV Catheters Drug Calculations Administration of Medications (IV or other methods) Taking Vitals Observe, document and recognize changes in patient attitude, abnormal behavior, and changes in condition Providing high quality medical/nursing care You work well independently and as part of a team, practicing good judgment to ensure high-quality care for all patients You adapt to the individual needs of each patient, are not afraid to ask questions, are eager to enhance your skill set, and maintain a positive attitude EzyVet and SmartFlow experience is a plus. Compensation & Benefits (full- time employees): LVT: ($30/hr + commensurate with relevant experience)  Extensive Employee Assistance Program and Mental Health Benefits  Annual allowance for scrubs and other BVNS apparel Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance Other voluntary benefit plans are available including Life, STD, LTD, Aflac, Pet Insurance, Legal, etc. PTO   CE Allowance Available & paid CE hours! 401(k) with matching Schedule: 4/10- hour shifts per week  Qualifications: The LVT position requires a current and active Veterinary Technician License in Virginia, or have an active license in another state that qualifies you to be eligible for licensing. At least two years of Veterinary experience as an LVT, or one year as a LVT and two years as a Veterinary Assistant. Extensive experience with anesthesia, venipuncture and catheters Excellent communication, patient care and customer service skills Be flexible and adapt well to new situations Work well as part of a team Additional Requirements: Must be eligible to work in the United States and have original, unexpired documents to verify eligibility.  Must be able to pass a 7-year background check and drug test (complying with local, state and Federal guidelines).
