Job Description

Churchland Animal Clinic is seeking a Veterinary Technician Assistant to join our team and help create exceptional experiences for clients and patients during exams and outpatient visits. We are seeking a friendly, outgoing assistant who thrives in client engagement, exam room management, and multitasking in a busy clinical environment. This is a great opportunity for someone earlier in their veterinary career who is eager to grow in a supportive, team-oriented setting. In this position, you will play a critical role in supporting efficient hospital operations, creating positive client experiences, and ensuring patients receive compassionate, high-quality care. In this position, you will take an active role in: Supporting efficient exam room and outpatient workflow, including tech appointments and client demonstrations Assisting veterinarians during outpatient procedures and treatments Providing safe, gentle patient handling and restraint during exams and outpatient care Maintaining accurate medical records and treatment documentation Reviewing treatment plans and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately Building positive client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service Maintaining clean, organized, and fully prepared exam rooms throughout the day Schedule and compensation: Compensation: $14.00-$19.00 per hour, for each hour worked This is a full-time position with a flexible schedule (offering 4x10s, 5x8s, late starts, or even 3 late shifts each week), and availability needed Monday-Saturday. Standard shifts run 7:30 AM-6:00 PM, with extended evening availability needed on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday until 9:00 PM. Saturday coverage required the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month, 7:30 AM-2:00 PM.
