Fredericksburg SPCA Locke Community Medical Center is very centrally located in Fredericksburg, VA between Washington DC and Richmond and is truly a magical place. There are endless outdoor activities available from relaxing or walking along the Rappahannock River, boating, biking, fishing, submersing yourself in our history with all of our historical landmarks and shopping at local artist boutiques. We are a short drive to the beach or a short drive to the mountains if you love snow sports!
Requirements
The Veterinary Technician will assist our Veterinarian team with all treatment and care of animal patients. The Fredericksburg SPCA is a highly progressive animal welfare organization. This is a fast-paced environment focused on providing high quality, high volume spay and neuter surgeries and affordable medical care to our shelter animals and our community. We are a small, tight knit team so we are looking for someone that fits in well with the group. The ideal candidate will work well on a team as well as take the initiative to complete tasks as an individual. We look for easy-going, low-drama folks, who maintain a positive attitude and have a sense of humor. The ideal candidate will be timely, reliable, courteous and respectful to team members, hard-working, and an excellent communicator. We value respect, hard work and optimism. We work hard, but like to have fun while doing it!
