Cat Hospital of Fairfax is looking for a part-time compassionate and skilled Veterinary Assistant who loves to work with cats. At our Rarebreed clinic, you can help reimagine the veterinary experience in your community. Our cohesive environment means you’ll practice gold standard medicine and surgery. Cat Hospital of Fairfax is a Gold Certified Cat-Friendly Practice. We are a full-service medical center for cats specializing in preventive medicine, responsive treatment, and collaboration with owners. Our clinic is here to make a comfortable and stress-free environment for clients and their cats! Veterinary Assistant $18.00 - $21.00 per Hour Cat Hospital of Fairfax in Fairfax, VA WHAT YOU’LL DO Provide compassionate care to pet patients and their loved ones Keep accurate medical records in accordance with hospital policy Prepare and maintain the exam rooms and treatment areas Perform physical assessments and record your observations Prepare estimates for procedures and discusses financial commitments with clients Explain necessary follow-up and home care instructions Stock clinic treatment area and exam rooms, and inform inventory manager when supplies need to be ordered Care for all surgical materials and keep the operating room properly stocked and prepared for surgery Our Comprehensive benefit package includes: 401(k) with a total company match up to 4%, after 6 months of employment Flexible scheduling Continuing education allowance and professional development support Mental Health Resources Company paid bonding leave or applicable state provided bonding leave Perks for Your Pets Too!
