In operation for forty years, Blue Ridge Equine Clinic is superbly equipped to handle all of your horse's routine, emergency, and surgical needs. With well over 100 years of combined equine veterinary experience and the most up-to-date knowledge and equipment, our seven equine veterinarians, equine surgeon, and full staff are uniquely positioned to serve Central Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley.

Blue Ridge Equine Clinic is excited to offer a comprehensive internship opportunity for motivated, compassionate, and team-oriented veterinary graduates who are eager to deepen their clinical skills in a supportive and dynamic environment. Located in the heart of Virginia's horse country, our practice provides both ambulatory and hospital-based services, allowing interns to experience a well-rounded caseload that includes sport horses, pleasure horses, and everything in between. Interns at Blue Ridge Equine Clinic can expect: Mentorship and Collaboration: Work closely with our team of experienced equine veterinarians who are committed to teaching and fostering professional growth. Hands-On Experience: Assist and lead in a wide variety of cases, including lameness evaluations, emergency care, reproduction, internal medicine, and surgical procedures. Skill Development: Strengthen your diagnostic, client communication, and technical skills in a high-quality, fast-paced practice. Balanced Learning: Enjoy a structured schedule with on-call rotations that encourage both autonomy and support. This internship is designed to be a launchpad for a successful career in equine veterinary medicine.
