Job Description

I’m working on behalf of a well-established, progressive small animal hospital located in Arlington, Virginia, just minutes from DC. This is a modern, multi-doctor practice known for delivering high-quality, personalized veterinary care while genuinely prioritizing team wellbeing and work-life balance. The hospital operates out of a well-equipped, purpose-built facility and is supported by a highly experienced team of technicians and assistants, maintaining an impressive 3:1 staff-to-doctor ratio. Doctors are encouraged to practice high-quality medicine with the time, tools, and support needed to do their best work — whether that’s advanced diagnostics, surgery, or dentistry. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with structured mentorship available and a collaborative culture where questions, growth, and continued learning are actively encouraged. Schedules are flexible, there’s no on-call or after-hours, and leadership is deeply invested in sustainability and long-term career satisfaction. The package is competitive, with a strong base salary, production, and a comprehensive benefits offering — including partnership potential for those interested in long-term ownership without losing clinical autonomy. Key Highlights: • Established multi-doctor small animal hospital in Arlington, VA • Salary range of $120,000–$150,000 base + production • Excellent mentorship and support for new graduates • No on-call, no after-hours — genuine work-life balance • 3:1 staff-to-doctor ratio with highly utilized licensed technicians • Flexible scheduling within consistent daytime hours • Opportunity for future partnership and co-ownership About You: • DVM or equivalent degree that allows you to practice veterinary medicine in the US • You hold (or are eligible for) a licensure in Virginia • Confident delivering general medicine, surgery, and dentistry (or eager to develop these skills) • Team-oriented with a compassionate, client-focused approach • Open to learning, collaboration, and practicing high-quality medicine Benefits: • Competitive base salary + production (no negative accrual discussed) • Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance • Health, dental, and vision insurance • CE allowance, paid professional dues, license fees & AVMA-PLIT • PTO, pet discounts, EAP, and retirement plan options
