Job Description

Weatherford Animal Clinic is searching for a full-time, associate veterinarian with a strong interest in both small and large animal medicine and surgery. WAC is a fast growing, two veterinarian, mixed animal veterinary practice located in Weatherford, TX, in the heart of Parker County just twenty-five minutes west of Fort Worth. WAC was established in October 2022 by partners Dr. Barret Morrison and Dr. Jeremy Mitchell. The facilities include a newly renovated 5,000 square foot small animal clinic equipped with a surgical suite and separate prep area, Idexx in house lab equipment, Idexx Neo practice management software, fully equipped radiology room with DR imaging and ultrasonography. The clinic includes a spacious canine ward, feline ward, separate isolation ward, 6 examination rooms and fully stocked pharmacy. Large Animal facilities include a 50’ x 100’ covered cattle working pens equipped with a hydraulic WW rollover chute and a P & C longhorn chute. Normal hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8 am – 6 pm and Saturday 8 am-12 pm. In addition to regular business hours, emergencies are accepted until 8 pm Monday through Friday and 6 pm on Saturday & Sunday. Emergency responsibilities are divided evenly amongst all DVMs. Associates will receive additional compensation for emergency services performed. Appointments may be scheduled in house or on an ambulatory basis. A fully stocked truck is available for ambulatory calls. The full-time position will allow the associate to have one regular business day off per week as well as Saturdays off on a rotating basis. Previous experience is preferred but not required and new graduates are encouraged to apply. Full time salary is commiserate with experience and the associate will receive a percentage of their production generated after hours.
