We are seeking a Medical Director to lead a modern urgent care veterinary hospital in San Antonio. This opportunity offers a leadership role within an innovative and highly collaborative clinical environment, ideal for an experienced veterinarian looking to combine urgent care medicine with hospital leadership and operational growth. The hospital operates with a unique urgent care model designed to support efficient workflows, strong technician support, and advanced technology, allowing veterinarians to focus on diagnosing, treating, and communicating with clients while maintaining excellent work-life balance. The facility is newly designed to create a welcoming environment for both pets and veterinary teams. In this role, the Medical Director will oversee medical quality standards, mentor associate veterinarians and staff, support hospital operations, and continue providing hands-on urgent care medicine. Cases include same-day and next-day care for common urgent conditions such as wounds, gastrointestinal illness, respiratory issues, toxin ingestion, dermatology concerns, lameness, urinary issues, and other non-critical urgent cases.
