Associate Veterinarian - Dallas, TX Small Animal GP | Surgery + Dentistry | Base + Production | No Negative Accrual | Relocation The Opportunity An established small animal practice in Dallas is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join its collaborative clinical team. This opportunity is ideal for a veterinarian who enjoys comprehensive general practice and wants the ability to build lasting relationships with clients while providing care throughout every stage of a pet's life. The hospital offers a broad primary-care caseload with an emphasis on preventive medicine, surgery, dentistry, and diagnostics, along with access to additional specialty resources when patients require advanced care. The Medicine You'll have the opportunity to practice comprehensive small animal medicine with dogs and cats, including: • Preventive and wellness care • Sick-patient medicine • General surgery • Dentistry • Vaccinations • Diagnostics • Ongoing medical management • Coordination of specialty and referral care The practice is designed around continuity of care, allowing veterinarians to develop long-term relationships with clients rather than simply treating individual episodes of illness. Compensation + Production The compensation model combines a competitive base salary with additional production earning potential. The package includes: • Competitive base salary • Production compensation opportunities • No negative accrual • Moving/relocation allowance • Comprehensive benefits • 401(k) with employer match • Continuing education resources No negative accrual allows veterinarians to benefit from production without carrying a deficit forward from slower periods. Clinical Support & Collaboration You'll work alongside a collaborative veterinary and support team focused on high-quality medicine and compassionate patient care. When cases require care beyond the scope of general practice, veterinarians also have access to a broader network of specialty resources and referral relationships. That provides the ability to maintain continuity with clients while having additional clinical resources available for more complex cases. Professional Growth + Leadership There is also an opportunity for continued professional and leadership development. In fact, the hospital is currently seeking veterinary leadership in addition to an Associate Veterinarian, making this potentially interesting for an experienced DVM who wants to join initially in an Associate capacity but has longer-term leadership aspirations. I would not imply that the Associate is automatically being considered for Medical Director, but I do think the existence of a leadership opening is worth subtly leveraging. Schedule • Full-time position • Weekday and Saturday hospital hours The hospital closes earlier on Saturdays than during the week, but the source doesn't tell us the actual veterinarian rotation. I would therefore avoid promising limited Saturdays or a specific weekend schedule. Who We're Looking For • DVM, VMD, or equivalent degree • Texas veterinary license or ability to obtain one • Active DEA license or eligibility • Interest in comprehensive small animal medicine • Interest in surgery and dentistry • Strong communication and client relationship skills • Collaborative, team-oriented approach • Commitment to compassionate, high-quality patient care Benefits & Professional Support Eligible full-time team members have access to: • Comprehensive health benefits • Health and life insurance • Short- and long-term disability • Moving/relocation assistance • 401(k) with employer match • Continuing education resources • Mental health and wellness resources • Paid parental leave • Childcare and elder-care support • Family-planning resources • Veterinary-service and pet-care discounts Why Consider This Opportunity This is a strong opportunity for a veterinarian who enjoys the variety of comprehensive GP medicine but also wants access to additional clinical resources when cases become more complex. You'll have the opportunity to practice medicine that includes surgery, dentistry, preventive care, diagnostics, and ongoing case management while building long-term relationships with clients. The package also includes base compensation plus production with no negative accrual, relocation assistance, continued professional development, and potential exposure to future leadership opportunities.
