Job Description

Associate Veterinarian - Austin, TX Base + Production | No Negative Accrual | Sign-On Bonus | Relocation | Established DVM Team The Opportunity An established small animal practice in South Austin is looking for an Associate Veterinarian to join a collaborative and experienced clinical team. This is a full-time opportunity for a veterinarian who enjoys comprehensive general practice, values long-term relationships with clients, and wants the support to focus on practicing high-quality medicine. You'll join an established team of veterinarians and experienced support staff in an environment that emphasizes collaboration, medical quality, and giving doctors the resources they need to provide excellent patient care. Compensation + Production The compensation model provides the stability of a competitive base salary along with additional earning potential through production. The package includes: • Competitive base salary • Production compensation • No negative accrual • Signing bonus • Moving/relocation assistance • Comprehensive benefits • 401(k) with employer match With no negative accrual, a slower production period doesn't create a deficit that has to be made up before future production compensation can be earned. The Medicine This is a small animal general practice focused on caring for patients throughout every stage of life. Doctors have the opportunity to build lasting relationships with clients while providing comprehensive medical care, including preventive medicine, diagnostics, sick-patient care, and ongoing case management. The practice is particularly well suited for a veterinarian who values continuity of care and wants to become a trusted resource for both pets and their families. Experienced Clinical Team One of the advantages of this opportunity is joining an established group rather than walking into a hospital where you're expected to figure everything out on your own. You'll work alongside tenured veterinarians and an experienced technician support team, providing opportunities for collaboration, case discussion, and knowledge sharing. At the same time, veterinarians are given the resources and professional support to continue developing their individual clinical interests. Schedule • Full-time position • Weekday and Saturday hospital hours • Predictable general-practice environment I would not say “limited Saturdays” or specify a Saturday rotation because the source only tells us that the hospital is open Saturdays. It doesn't tell us how frequently this veterinarian would actually be scheduled. Professional Growth The organization provides access to continuing professional development, training, technology, and broader clinical resources designed to support veterinarians throughout their careers. Whether you're looking to deepen your clinical skills or eventually pursue leadership opportunities, there are resources available to support continued professional growth. Who We're Looking For • DVM, VMD, or equivalent degree • Texas veterinary license or ability to obtain one • Active DEA license or eligibility • Interest in comprehensive small animal general practice • Strong communication and client relationship skills • Collaborative and team-oriented approach • Commitment to high-quality patient care Benefits & Professional Support Eligible team members have access to: • Comprehensive health benefits • Health and life insurance • Short- and long-term disability • 401(k) with employer match • Paid parental leave • Mental health and wellness resources • Childcare and elder-care resources • Family-planning support • Veterinary-service and pet-care discounts • Professional development resources Why Consider This Opportunity This is a straightforward small-animal GP opportunity with several important financial and professional advantages. You'll have an established DVM team around you, experienced technician support, production earning potential without negative accrual, and the resources to continue developing professionally.
