Veterinary Assistant, Neurology Operating Room $16 - $21/hr. | $3/hr. This role requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to patient comfort, and a willingness to learn and develop new skills in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is compassionate, eager to grow, and dedicated to providing exceptional care throughout the surgical process. Responsibilities: Assisting technicians in anesthetic procedures. Assisting doctors during examinations. Setting up anesthesia equipment. Setting up and breaking down surgery room. Placing catheters, taking vitals and pulling blood.  Prepare samples for outside laboratories. Assist technicians in administering chemotherapy. Setting up a radiology room. Housekeeping Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Assistant certification preferred but not required Minimum 2 years of veterinary experience required This is a Full-Time position. Four days a week, 10-hour shifts. Must be able to work weekends and holidays – On Call Rotation Schedule Proven experience as a Veterinary Assistant Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures Proficiency in animal handling and restraint techniques Familiarity with animal husbandry practices Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and be able to work independently or collaboratively within a team. Strong work ethics and positive attitude Physical ability to lift and restrain animals of varying sizes (up to 50 lbs. unassisted). Commitment to continued learning and professional development.
