Job Description

A well-established, AAHA-accredited small animal hospital in Houston, TX is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its collaborative team. Privately-owned and serving the local community for well over six decades, this full-service hospital has built a loyal, engaged client base and a reputation for combining advanced high-quality medicine with a genuinely community-focused culture. The practice cares for a broad mix of dogs and cats, and the caseload spans everything from routine wellness and dentistry through to advanced soft tissue surgery, urgent care, emergencies, and complex diagnostics. Housed in a spacious, 21,000 square foot facility, the hospital is equipped with an on-site pharmacy, in-house laboratory, digital radiology, ultrasound, endoscopy, and fully equipped surgical suites, giving doctors the tools to practice comprehensive, high-standard medicine. Appointments are scheduled in 30-minute blocks, supporting an efficient yet varied day-to-day caseload. You will be joining a team of eight fantastic veterinarians who bring a wide range of experience and clinical interests, supported by a large, well-trained, and cross-trained technician and support staff. The hospital takes a genuinely hands-on approach to mentorship, with structured, one on one training from experienced senior doctors, making this a strong fit whether you are a new graduate or a seasoned clinician. A fear free approach is embraced throughout, helping keep visits calm for pets, clients, and staff alike. Enjoy a consistent four day work week, Monday through Friday, with rotating Saturday mornings (8am to 2pm) shared evenly across the team.
