Our hospital provides a broad range of services, including: Preventative and wellness care Emergency and urgent care Surgery and advanced orthopedics, including TPLO, fracture repair, FHO, and MLP Dentistry Internal medicine Endoscopy Ultrasonography Radiology Laser therapy In-house laboratory diagnostics Grooming and boarding This variety allows our Veterinary Technicians to continue developing their clinical skills while being part of a team providing comprehensive care throughout a patient's journey. Put Your Veterinary Technician Skills to Work As a Veterinary Technician, you'll play an important role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our veterinarians across appointments, diagnostics, treatments, and surgical procedures. Your day may include: Providing high-quality patient care for dogs and cats Assisting veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, and treatments Performing IV catheter placement and blood collection Monitoring patients and assisting with anesthesia and surgical procedures Administering medications, including IV, IM, SQ, and oral medications Educating clients on vaccines, preventative care, and treatment plans Supporting advanced services including radiology, ultrasonography, and laboratory diagnostics Maintaining accurate and thorough medical records Communicating effectively with clients and members of the veterinary team Working collaboratively to provide an exceptional patient and client experience We're looking for a Veterinary Technician who is confident in their clinical skills and passionate about providing excellent patient care. You should have: Previous experience working as a Veterinary Technician LVT, RVT, or CVT credential preferred Proficiency with IV catheter placement and venipuncture Experience with anesthesia monitoring and surgical support Strong knowledge of vaccines and preventative care Excellent communication and client education skills The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment A commitment to compassionate, high-quality patient care A desire to continue learning and developing your veterinary career Invest in Your Veterinary Career At Highland Park Animal Hospital, we want you to have the support and resources to build a long-term career in veterinary medicine.
