Requirements
Pine Forest Animal Clinic is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team and support both outpatient care and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry. We are seeking a versatile, client-focused technician who thrives in a dynamic general practice environment - balancing exam room care, client communication, and hands-on procedural support. We value experienced technicians for the clinical knowledge, judgment, and communication skills they bring across all areas of the hospital, helping elevate the quality of medicine, client experience, and patient care. In this position, you will play a key role in both outpatient and procedural workflows, contributing to a consistent, high standard of care throughout the patient visit. Responsibilities Include : Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows Assisting in surgery Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately Identifying patient concerns and supporting efficient case management across the hospital Building strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service This role is ideal for technicians who enjoy variety in their day, are confident moving between exam room and procedure support, and want to fully utilize their clinical knowledge, technical skillset, and client communication abilities in a collaborative general practice environment. Schedule and Compensation : Compensation: $16-$20 per hour, for each hour worked This is a full-time position, with availability needed Monday-Friday and rotating Saturdays . Weekday shifts are from 7:30am-5pm Saturday shifts are from 8am-12pm (usually 2-3 per month) Full-Time Benefits Package * Bonus Package: Up to $500-$2,000 depending on experience and credentials Health Package: Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance (with HSA options) Life Insurance and Disability Employee Assistance Program 401k with company match Paid time off in accordance with site policy and applicable law Generous personal pet discount Uniform allowance - Up to $200/year annually Minimum Qualifications and Skill Set : 3+ years of veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience Proficiency in the following skills: Patient assessment, nursing care, and monitoring Surgical assistance and aseptic technique Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement Safe, low-stress patient handling and restraint techniques Client education and communication Effective teamwork and professional communication skills Commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous learning Why Choose Pine Forest?
