We are currently seeking cat lovers with medical experience to join our team! The receptionist provides the first impression of the hospital to clients and patients. The receptionist must be friendly, professional and courteous, and capable of handling many tasks at once with many interruptions. The receptionist must remain calm even when clients are upset, or it is very busy. This is a fast-paced position with minimal downtime. It is the receptionist’s responsibility to be sure the front desk is never left unattended. This position requires excellent customer service, good computer skills, basic math skills, and a team attitude. Punctuality is expected. Since the receptionists are occasionally called upon to assist patients, the position requires an employee capable of lifting up to 40 lb. unaided and standing or walking for most of the day. As a veterinary receptionist at SACH, job responsibilities include: Answering phones Scheduling appointments Assisting and educating clients Collecting patient medical history Collecting payments Helping to facilitate curbside operations by bringing patients in and out of the hospital and delivering curbside orders to clients Helping with cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, laundry, and COVID sanitation protocols Assisting veterinarians and technicians with patient care Other job duties as required The ability to maintain a low-stress environment for feline patients is an absolute must for this position. Our ideal candidate has 1-2 years of medical experience. Experience in the veterinary industry and customer service is preferred.
