We serve the Austin area, providing veterinary primary care and urgent care for your pet. Our hospital is owned and led by Dr. Tamera Cole, an experienced, Texas-licensed veterinarian. We seek individuals with any of the following backgrounds: Licensed Veterinary Technicians in Texas; LVTs, CVTs, and RVTs relocating from other states and eligible for Texas licensing; Vet Tech program graduates eligible to take the national and state board exams soon; Certified Veterinary Assistants with at least one year of small animal clinical experience; Small-animal caregivers with 2+ years in a vet tech or vet assistant role (uncredentialed, but experienced in a hospital or clinic setting) About You: Exemplary in your attendance and reliability; Have proven ability to perform blood draws (limb and jugular), place IV catheters, restrain pets, and administer vaccines and IV, IM, SQ, oral, and topical medications; Can clean/prep/sterilize surgical instruments, prepare and assist with surgical and dental procedures, and monitor pets under anesthesia; Engage clients about their needs, and advocate with animal owners for appropriate diagnostics, treatments, nutrition, and products for their pets; Are Motivated, Enthusiastic, Cooperative, Adaptable, Poised, Ethical, Resilient, Inquisitive, Accurate, and Thorough; “Play well with others,” but do not require constant supervision to remain on task; Anticipate needs and opportunities, and take steps to make things better than before; Can regularly lift at least 35 pounds and assist others with larger pets; Have good math and communications skills (written and oral).
