Associate Veterinarian (DVM) - Surgery & Orthopedics | Main Street Animal Clinic | Oakland, Tennessee Main Street Animal Clinic is seeking an Associate Veterinarian with strong surgical skills to join our thriving small animal veterinary hospital in Oakland, Tennessee. As one of the region's trusted destinations for orthopedic surgery, advanced soft tissue procedures, chiropractic care, and companion animal medicine, we offer an exciting opportunity for a veterinarian who enjoys challenging cases, values collaboration, and wants to practice advanced medicine with the support of an experienced team. What We're Looking For We're seeking a veterinarian who: Experienced in orthopedic procedures or eager to expand their surgical skill set in this area Is confident managing surgical cases such as TPLOs, fracture repairs, splenectomies, mass removals, and dentistry Enjoys collaborating with colleagues and support staff Provides exceptional client communication and patient care Is licensed (or eligible for licensure) in Tennessee Certification in Animal Chiropractic is highly valued but not required. Our services include: Orthopedic surgery (TPLO, CCL repair, FHO, fracture repair) Soft tissue surgery Preventive and wellness care Veterinary dentistry Chiropractic care Laser therapy Ultrasound and diagnostics Internal medicine Our Medical Director, Dr. Barry Miller, has extensive interests in internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, TPLO procedures, and preventive care. Our team also includes a board-certified pet chiropractor with expertise in laser therapy and ultrasound. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
