Responsibilities Examine and treat companion animals to diagnose and manage medical conditions. Perform wellness examinations and preventative care consultations. Conduct dental procedures and surgical services. Operate diagnostic equipment, collect samples and interpret results. Develop treatment plans and prescribe medications. Educate clients on preventative healthcare and treatment options. Provide compassionate guidance regarding end-of-life care. Maintain accurate patient medical records. Communicate effectively with clients and the veterinary team. Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics, regulations and professional standards. Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will have: A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an accredited AVMA institution. An active veterinary licence or eligibility for licensure in Tennessee. Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD registration. A strong interest in dentistry, surgery and preventative medicine. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. A professional, compassionate approach with clients and colleagues. Strong teamwork skills and a commitment to high-quality patient care.
