In May 2003, Bluegrass Animal Hospital opened at its present location at 1439 Ebenezer Road in Knoxville, TN. The owners of Bluegrass Animal Hospital are Mary Rice, RN, and Cristi Moser, DVM. The practice, formerly Groves Animal Hospital, was purchased in December of 2002. The old hospital location was at 724 South Peters Road. Dr. Moser worked for Dr. Groves from November of 2001 until the practice was purchased in December of 2002. Our 5600 sq. foot facility is located on 4 acres with nine large fenced exercise yards and 29 indoor runs. The hospital property is monitored 24 hours a day with security surveillance cameras. Our hospital offers state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment to meet the needs of our clients and their pets

As a team member, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow.  Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Animal handling and restraint Walking animals that may need support/assistance Knowledge of basic husbandry/feeding/and nutrition Administering medication to patients Maintain cleanliness of kennel areas Restock and organize kennel supplies Bathe/groom animals Constantly advance your knowledgebase and skill set Skills and Qualifications: 2 years of professional experience in a veterinary clinical setting (CSR, kennel attendant, vet assistant, other), preferred Must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to problem solve and handle multiple tasks Must have the ability to adjust to changes in the environment and able to handle stress in a calm manner Must be a team player, have patience and maintain a positive attitude.  Must be able to anticipate and be detail oriented due to the high level of quality medicine. Must be able to lift and restrain pets of at least 40 pounds, and work on feet most of the day.
