We are located in beautiful Cookeville, Tennessee, we are a walk-in-only practice and are available 24/7 for emergency care.
Requirements
Are you an experienced Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant looking for a hospital where you can expand your skills, work alongside a supportive team, and make a meaningful impact on the lives of pets and their families? At Copeland Veterinary Hospital, we combine high-quality general practice medicine with 24/7 emergency and critical care services. We are seeking compassionate, motivated veterinary professionals who are passionate about patient care, client service, and growing their careers in veterinary medicine. Whether you're a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT, RVT, CVT) or an experienced Veterinary Assistant, this is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative team that values learning, teamwork, and exceptional patient care. $15.00–$18.00 per hour, based on experience, skills, and qualifications. This is a full-time position that generally includes: Four full weekdays per week Every other Saturday (8:00 AM–12:00 PM) Weekday shifts may vary between: 7:30 AM–5:30 PM or 6:00 PM 10:30 AM–7:30 PM Flexibility with evening hours is highly preferred as we continue to expand our urgent care services After a comprehensive training period (approximately 90 days), team members will be trained in ICU and expected to cover a 12-hour ICU shift on a Saturday or Sunday approximately every 4–6 weeks This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, values continued learning, and is excited to develop emergency and critical care skills. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Assist with patient care, treatments, and diagnostics Collect laboratory samples and perform radiographs Prepare patients for surgery and monitor anesthesia Administer medications and treatments Monitor hospitalized patients and document care Communicate with clients and provide patient updates Maintain accurate medical records Collaborate with veterinarians and hospital staff to deliver exceptional care Skills Knowledge and Expertise 1+ year of veterinary experience preferred LVT, RVT, or CVT preferred but not required Experienced Veterinary Assistants encouraged to apply Venipuncture, catheter placement, patient restraint, and surgical prep experience preferred Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills Benefits Paid Time Off (PTO) Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision insurance Employee discounts Flexible schedules 401K with company match Career development and training About Copeland Veterinary Hospital Copeland Veterinary Hospital, located in the heart of beautiful Cookeville, Tennessee, has proudly served the Upper Cumberland region for over 55 years.
