Are you an experienced ER or Specialty Veterinarian looking for the next step in your career?  This well-established specialty and emergency veterinary hospital in Chattanooga, TN, is seeking an experienced doctor looking to lead an exceptional team as their next Medical Director. This is a rare opportunity to combine hands-on clinical practice with meaningful leadership in a hospital known for delivering exceptional patient care and fostering a collaborative, growth-driven culture. As the Medical Director, you’ll take the lead in guiding a team of experienced emergency and specialty veterinarians. Working closely with a skilled administrative team—including a Hospital Administrator and Clinical Director —you’ll help set the strategic direction of the hospital while maintaining a strong clinical presence on the floor three to four days a week. Your role will include mentoring colleagues, developing compliance protocols, leading team meetings, and shaping the medical and operational standards that define the practice. The ideal candidate will be a board-certified or residency-trained emergency and critical care veterinarian with previous leadership experience. A strong foundation in emergency medicine, diagnostics, and intensive care is key, along with the drive to mentor others and cultivate a positive, team-oriented environment. This opportunity comes with a highly competitive compensation package, including a base salary of up to $250,000 (plus production), a $50,000 sign-on bonus, $10,000 relocation assistance, and eligibility for annual performance bonuses.
