Job Description

Are you looking to join a genuinely supportive, privately-owned veterinary group where mentorship is real, culture is protected, and work-life balance isn’t just a promise? I’m proud to be partnering with a long-established small animal group in South Carolina that is growing due to consistent client demand and an outstanding reputation in the community. This multi-site group blends the stability of decades in practice with forward-thinking leadership. Their hospitals range from newly built, modern facilities to long-standing, beautifully maintained community practices. Across all locations, you’ll find well-equipped treatment areas, IDEXX in-house laboratories, digital radiography, ultrasound, and a microscope fitted with a teaching camera—ideal for collaboration and case discussions. The team is experienced, cohesive, and refreshingly non-toxic. Several doctors bring over a decade of experience, with additional strengths in behavior, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and exotics. There’s even an in-house PhD-level comparative pathology expert who enjoys teaching and supporting case workups. New graduates are truly supported with structured mentorship, and experienced veterinarians are encouraged to develop their own interests while contributing to a collaborative environment. Support staff are highly capable and deeply trusted, with 2–3 assistants per DVM per shift to ensure smooth workflows and allow you to focus on patient care. Appointment times are 30 minutes, with one dedicated surgery morning per week. There are no weekends, no on-call, and flexibility to work either a 3- or 4-day schedule. Compensation is strong pro/sal with 401(k) match, comprehensive health coverage, and meaningful CE investment. Key Highlights: • Privately-owned, multi-location small animal group with modern facilities and advanced diagnostics • IDEXX in-house labs, digital X-ray, ultrasound, and teaching microscope camera • Strong 2–3:1 assistant-to-DVM support ratio • 30-minute appointments + one protected surgery morning per week • No weekends, no on-call, and flexible 3–4 day schedule • Structured mentorship with experienced doctors, including exotics exposure • Collaborative, respectful culture with long staff tenure and zero toxicity About You: • DVM or equivalent degree that allows you to practice veterinary medicine in the US • You hold (or are eligible for) a licensure in South Carolina • Interested in practicing high-quality GP medicine in a well-supported setting • Comfortable with routine surgery (or open to developing your skills) • Value teamwork, clear communication, and continuous learning Benefits: • Competitive ProSal compensation aligned with experience • 401(k) with employer match • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance • Dedicated CE allowance plus CE days • Generous PTO and potential relocation support
