Job Description

We are working on behalf of an established small animal practice in Cainhoy, SC that is looking to bring in a full-time Veterinarian as a co-owner rather than an employee. This is a partnership model rather than a corporate roll up. The incoming doctor buys in, holds a meaningful stake, and shares in the growth and value of the practice they help build. The clinical side is refreshingly simple. There are no mandated protocols, no corporate formulary, and no production quotas dictating how long you spend in an exam room. You decide the workup, you set the treatment plan, and you practice the way you believe medicine should be practiced, because you are the one accountable for the outcome. The hospital is growing steadily with a loyal client base and an established caseload with room to grow, supported by a team of two credentialed technicians and five support staff. You would have real influence over medical decision making, clinic culture, equipment, hiring, and scheduling. Compensation combines a competitive base salary with production, alongside distributions tied to hospital performance and your equity share. Leadership training and mentorship from experienced partners is built in, and partner financing support is available to help fund the buy in. The full economics, including the buy in amount, financing options, and past distributions, are walked through early in the conversation rather than at offer stage. Cainhoy sits in one of the fastest growing corridors of the Charleston metro, in Berkeley County, minutes from Daniel Island and Mount Pleasant and around twenty five minutes from downtown Charleston, with beaches, boating, and a steadily expanding pet owning population. New graduates with a clear ownership ambition are welcome, and a runway to partnership can be built. Key Highlights • Genuine co-ownership with a meaningful equity stake, not just a title • No mandated protocols, no corporate formulary, and no production quotas • Full autonomy over workups, treatment plans, and how you practice • Established caseload with room to grow, so you are not building from zero • Support team of two credentialed technicians and five support staff • A real voice in equipment, hiring, scheduling, and clinic culture • Partner financing support available to help fund the buy in • Full economics shared early, including buy in amount and financing options • Minutes from Daniel Island and Mount Pleasant, 25 minutes from downtown Charleston About You • DVM or VMD from an AVMA accredited school, licensed or license eligible in South Carolina • Small animal general practice experience, comfortable with routine surgery and dentistry • A genuine interest in ownership and building something long term • The judgment and communication skills to be trusted with real autonomy • Collaborative, and happy to lead a team as well as work alongside one • New graduates with a clear ownership ambition are welcome to apply Benefits • Competitive base salary plus production • Distributions based on hospital performance and your equity share • Medical, dental, and vision insurance • 401(k), PTO, and CE allowance • Leadership training and mentorship from experienced partners • Partner financing support to help with the buy in
