We offer specialty services in Surgery, Emergency & Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Neurology, Radiology, Ophthalmology, Exotics, and more. About the Role As a Surgery Liaison Technician, you will play a vital role in guiding clients and patients through every stage of the surgical process — from initial consultation through recovery at home. This position combines veterinary medical knowledge with compassionate client support and strong organizational skills. You’ll serve as a key connection between our surgical team and pet owners, ensuring clients feel informed, supported, and confident throughout their pet’s care journey. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician who enjoys client communication, surgical coordination, and building meaningful relationships while still utilizing their veterinary knowledge and technical skills.  There is an option for a part-time or full-time schedule and team members work regular weekend hours and some holidays. What You’ll Do Coordinate surgical consultations, procedures, and recheck appointments Provide pre-operative and post-discharge client communication and support Perform phone triage for potential surgical patients Create patient estimates, invoices, and surgical documentation Maintain communication with referring veterinarians and obtain medical records Answer client questions regarding medications, procedures, recovery, and aftercare Follow up with surgical patients after discharge to ensure successful recovery Fill prescriptions and coordinate pharmacy orders Provide daily updates to hospitalized patient families Collaborate closely with surgeons and surgery technicians to ensure outstanding patient outcomes Assist with appointments, inventory, and ordering as needed We’re Looking for Someone Who Has: A passion for animal care and client support Strong veterinary medical knowledge Excellent communication and interpersonal skills The ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy hospital environment Confidence working both independently and collaboratively Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills A calm, compassionate demeanor during stressful situations Comfort navigating a paperless computer system Qualifications Veterinary Technician certification preferred Tech school graduate or minimum of 2 years recent veterinary experience required Prior surgery or specialty experience is a plus High school diploma or GED required Position Details Part-time (20 hours per week) or full-time (40 hours per week) Includes weekend commitment and some holiday shifts Flexible scheduling with consistent/set schedules Benefits & Perks (for Full-Time) Employer paid medical insurance premiums, AND paid deductible for employees!
