Job Description

Veterinarian / Medical Director Middletown, PA | Full-Time Compensation: $150,000–$190,000+ base + production + leadership compensation We’re working on a Veterinary Medical Director opportunity in the Middletown area with an established small-animal hospital that has served its community for decades and offers comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care. This is a great fit for an experienced veterinarian who wants to remain clinically active while taking on a larger role in mentoring doctors, supporting medical standards, developing the team, and helping guide the future direction of the practice. The opportunity includes: $150K–$190K+ base salary Production-based earning potential Additional Medical Director / leadership compensation Generous sign-on bonus Flexible scheduling No on-call No late-night expectations Health, dental, and vision benefits 401(k) Paid holidays and generous PTO Continuing education allowance Professional dues and licensing covered Partnership / ownership opportunities The hospital offers a broad companion-animal caseload with an experienced support team and a long-standing reputation in the community. The practice also has some exposure to exotic and large-animal patients depending on doctor interest and case mix. Candidates should have a DVM/VMD or equivalent, be licensed or eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania, and bring several years of clinical experience. Previous leadership experience is preferred, along with the ability to mentor, communicate well, and help create a positive medical culture. This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian looking for a meaningful leadership role, continued clinical involvement, and a path toward long-term ownership in central Pennsylvania. The specific Medical Director role is currently listed by VPP. I also found a live associate veterinarian posting at the same hospital at $120K–$160K + production, which is why I’d use $150K–$190K+ as a realistic recruiting range for the leadership role.
