Job Description

Companion Pet Hospital is seeking an outgoing Client Service Representative to serve as the welcoming face of our hospital. In this fast-paced role, you will create exceptional client experiences, build trust through compassionate service, manage appointments and daily patient flow, handle multi-line phones and in-person interactions, process transactions, and support clients with essential information about our services. Ideal candidates are friendly, detail-oriented, highly organized, and thrive in a team-focused customer service environment. We're looking for someone who already understands the veterinary environment - the pace, the terminology, the emotional weight of caring for people's pets, and the importance of a seamless client experience from the moment the phone rings. Prior veterinary receptionist or veterinary hospital experience is strongly preferred for this role. Schedule and compensation: Compensation: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour, for each hour worked Schedule: This is a full-time position, with a 4 x 10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday with rotating weekend availability. Shift options include 7:00 AM-5:00 PM, 8:00 AM-6:00 PM, or 9:00 AM-7:00 PM. No on-call requirements. Full-time Benefits Package*: Health package: Medical, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance and disability Employee Assistance Program (EAP) 401k with company match Paid time off in accordance with site policy and applicable law Personal pet discount Uniform allowance *Part-time team members may be eligible for limited benefits in accordance with company policy and state law Minimum qualifications and skill set: 1+ years of experience in a customer service, reception, or client-facing role Prior veterinary receptionist or veterinary hospital experience strongly preferred - candidates with a background as a veterinary assistant, technician, or front desk team member in a clinical setting will be prioritized Familiarity with veterinary terminology, appointment types, and client communication in a fast-paced clinical setting is a significant advantage Proficiency in the following skills: Ability to manage a multi-phone line system while assisting in-person clients Experience working with veterinary practice management software, especially Pulse, preferred Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Ability to provide compassionate, professional service to clients during both routine and emotionally sensitive situations Experience scheduling appointments and coordinating calendars preferred Ability to accurately process payments and maintain financial records Positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with a team Ability to remain calm, professional and solution-oriented during busy periods Why choose Companion Pet Hospital?
