Requirements
We are working on behalf of a well established, AAHA-accredited small animal hospital in Oakford, PA, just outside Philadelphia, that is looking for a Medical Director to lead its team. This is a practice with real roots in the community, having cared for local families and their pets for more than 35 years. You would be joining a collaborative group of four veterinarians backed by an experienced team of around 28 nurses and support staff, so the doctors are genuinely well supported on the floor. The medicine is varied and hands on, with soft tissue surgery, spays and neuters, dentistry, digital and dental radiography, and modern in-house diagnostic and imaging technology. The hospital runs on user-friendly practice software with full electronic medical records, which keeps the day moving and the admin light. This is a leadership role for a veterinarian who enjoys mentoring, wants a real say in how a practice is run, and still wants to practice great medicine with cats and dogs. You will have strong support from the wider group, including access to an extensive in-house continuing education program and the chance to take part in clinical studies. Full-time and part-time schedules are both open, and the hospital sits within one of the top-rated school districts in the area, which makes it an easy place to put down roots.
