Job Description

Bailey Veterinary Clinic, located in Roseburg, Oregon is a mixed animal, full-service and urgent care veterinary clinic looking for a friendly, outgoing Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team! This position will fill the unique role of "Room Assistant"; Our Room Assistants play a vital role in supporting day-to-day clinic operations by managing and assisting in exam rooms and providing exceptional client service. While our ideal candidate has prior veterinary experience, we are eager to talk with candidates who are interested in starting a long-term career at Bailey Veterinary Clinic. Responsibilities include: Rooming patients and collecting vitals Working knowledge of vaccine schedule and administration Data entry and charting within a health record Proficiency with computers Maintaining patient/client privacy and confidentiality Keeping rooms clean and well stocked for exams Good communication skills and working as an effective team member Time management and efficient prioritizing Assists in counting out medications to go home for patient Other duties, under the direction of a supervisor Schedule, benefits and compensation: This is a full-time position with 10-hour shifts, and an expected 30-40 hours scheduled per week. We are open 7 days a week with extended urgent care hours in the evenings. This position is expected to include some weekend and evening shifts. Swing shift coverage includes a generous shift differential.
