Our founding father, Walter E. Vockert DVM, opened this practice in a small, refurbished residence, and today we care for your pets in a 5700 sq. foot full-service state-of-the-art-clinic. The compassionate care that Dr. Vockert senior gave his clients is still the foundation of our work today. We know your pets are your family and the staff at Halsey East Animal Clinic will always support you in the care of those family members.

About us: We are a friendly, fast-paced Veterinary Clinic that has been serving the Portland community for over fifty years. We are a three-doctor practice, offering a variety of different services, looking for an addition to our reception team. Responsibilities: - Answering phone calls, answering emails, and handling incoming faxes - Scheduling appointments using Avimark - Checking patients in/out by phone - Assisting clients with refills of prescriptions and prescription diets - Being attentive to client and patient needs - Working with clients in a patient and compassionate way - Monitoring schedule and flow of appointments - Managing record requests between other hospitals and specialty practices - Maintaining accurate and complete documentation in medical records - Assisting in cleaning the hospital, including but not limited to: keeping reception desk/lobby clean, taking out trash/recycling, cleaning bathrooms/kitchen as needed Qualifications: - A compassionate and positive attitude - High School diploma or GED - At least 1 year of customer service experience, veterinary experience preferred - Basic math and writing skills
