Small Animal DVM | Tulsa, OK | Compassionate Shelter Medicine | Growth Opportunities | Nonprofit
2910 Mohawk Blvd, Tulsa, OK, 74110 tulsaspca.orgOverview
Tulsa SPCA has been a cornerstone of animal welfare in northeastern Oklahoma for more than a century. Founded in 1913 by a group of Tulsa citizens, the organization began with a deep concern for homeless dogs and cats, as well as the protection of working animals used on farms and in the region’s early mining and oil industries. From the very beginning, the Tulsa SPCA has reflected the values of a growing community that believed animals deserved compassion, protection, and humane care.
As Tulsa has grown and evolved, so has the mission of Tulsa SPCA. Today, that mission is clear and focused: to improve the lives of dogs and cats, and their human companions. The organization provides safe, transitional shelter and medical care for animals in need, while working to place every dog and cat into a loving, permanent home. What started as a grassroots effort has grown into one of the region’s most trusted and impactful animal welfare organizations.
