Animal Medical & Surgical Hospital is seeking a Lead Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team. This an excellent opportunity for skilled Veterinary Assistants looking to take the next step in their career and develop as a leader within a supportive environment! In this role, you will provide leadership to our veterinary assistant team alongside general veterinary assistant responsibilities, including inpatient and outpatient care, exam room assistance, and surgical assistance. Leadership responsibilities will focus on day-to-day delegation of tasks to optimize workflow, ensuring safety and medical standards are being met, and providing guidance, training, and mentorship to the support team. This is an ideal position for those with high emotional intelligence, the ability to cultivate positive culture, and excellent multi-tasking and time management skills. Schedule: This is a full-time position, with a schedule and availability needed Monday-Saturdays Full-time benefits and compensation**: Compensation: $15-$17 per hour, for each hour worked* Bonus package: $500 for those with 3+ years of consecutive, current VA experience Health package: Medical, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance and disability Employee Assistance Program 401k options Paid time off in accordance with site policy and applicable law Minimum qualifications and skillset: 3+ years of prior veterinary assistant experience Experience with team supervision or shift-leadership preferred Experience and interest in training others and advancing leadership skills Proficiency in the following skills: Venipuncture and SQ Injections Dental Assisting and radiographs Proficient with Idexx or lab equipment Surgical Assisting and Anesthesia Monitoring Client Communication and Education Animal Medical & Surgical Hospital is proud to serve Tulsa and the surrounding communities with a dedicated team of two experienced veterinarians committed to providing exceptional patient care.
