Animal Medical & Surgical Hospital in Tulsa is seeking an experienced Lead Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team and support exceptional experiences for our clients and patients across all aspects of hospital care. This is an excellent opportunity for a versatile, experienced RVT who enjoys variety in their day and wants to continue utilizing and developing a well-rounded skillset across patient care, client service, surgery, dentistry, and outpatient procedures. We are seeking a dependable, motivated candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment, multitasks efficiently, anticipates team needs, communicates professionally, and takes pride in delivering exceptional support throughout every stage of the patient visit. The Lead RVT will also play an active role in training, mentoring, and supporting the development of the veterinary support team, helping promote consistency, confidence, and high standards of patient care. In this position, you will take an active role in: Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows Assisting veterinarians with exams, treatments, surgery, dentistry, and patient recovery Providing safe, compassionate patient handling and restraint Training and mentoring veterinary assistants and support staff in patient care, clinical skills, and hospital protocols Supporting onboarding and ongoing team development through hands-on coaching Promoting consistent patient care standards, organized workflows, and effective teamwork Maintaining accurate medical records and treatment documentation Educating clients on treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions Maintaining clean, organized, and fully prepared treatment and procedural areas Schedule and compensation: Compensation: $21-$24 per hour, for each hour worked This is a full-time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday. Every other Saturday with an 8-6p schedule. Minimum qualifications and skill set: 5+ years of experience as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) licensed in the state of Oklahoma Previous experience training, mentoring, or supporting the development of veterinary team members preferred Proficiency in the following skills: Previous experience training or mentoring veterinary team members preferred Strong clinical knowledge and experience with patient care, surgery, anesthesia, dentistry, and outpatient procedures Ability to provide hands-on training and guidance to veterinary assistants and support staff Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills Ability to maintain accurate medical records and follow established protocols Compassionate, professional approach to client and team communication Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Dependable attendance, strong work ethic, and ability to safely handle and restrain patients throughout the workday Why choose Animal Medical & Surgical Hospital?
