Job Description

Guthrie Pet Hospital is seeking an outgoing Veterinary Receptionist / Client Service Representative to serve as the welcoming face of our hospital. In this fast-paced role, you will create exceptional client experiences, build trust through compassionate service, manage appointments and daily patient flow, handle multi-line phones and in-person interactions, process transactions, and support clients with essential information about our services. This position is not limited to reception duties. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working as part of the entire veterinary team and assisting wherever needed. Responsibilities may include answering phones, checking clients and patients in and out, patient restraint and handling, cleaning and maintaining hospital areas, assisting the DVMs, and providing minor patient care and support. Ideal candidates are friendly, detail-oriented, highly organized, adaptable, and willing to jump in wherever needed. The ability to balance excellent customer service with hands-on patient support in a fast-paced, team-focused environment is essential. Schedule and compensation: Compensation: $13 - $15 per hour, for each hour worked This is a part-time position, with a Flexible schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday . Full-time Benefits Package*: Health package: Medical, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance and disability Employee Assistance Program (EAP) 401k with company match Paid time off in accordance with site policy and applicable law Personal pet discount Uniform Allowance *Part-time team members may be eligible for limited benefits in accordance with company policy and state law Minimum qualifications and skill set: 1+ years of experience in a customer service, reception, or client-facing role Previous veterinary receptionist or healthcare-related front-desk experience preferred Proficiency in the following skills: Ability to manage a multi-phone line system while assisting in-person clients Experience working with veterinary practice management software, especially Pulse, preferred Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Ability to provide compassionate, professional service to clients during both routine and emotionally sensitive situations Strong organizational and time management skills Experience scheduling appointments and coordinating calendars preferred Ability to accurately process payments and maintain financial records Positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with a team Ability to remain calm, professional and solution-oriented during busy periods Why choose Guthrie Pet Hospital?
