Associate Veterinarian - Troy, OH Monday–Friday | No Weekends | Sign-On + Relocation | Anniversary Bonuses | Clinical Autonomy The Opportunity An established small animal hospital in Troy, Ohio, just north of Dayton, is looking for an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join its team. This is an opportunity for a veterinarian who wants to practice high-quality medicine with meaningful clinical autonomy while still having an experienced team behind them. One of the biggest advantages is the schedule: Monday through Friday with no weekends. The hospital is also offering a competitive sign-on bonus, relocation assistance when needed, and additional financial bonuses tied to the veterinarian’s first and second work anniversaries. Schedule & Work-Life Balance • Monday–Friday schedule • No weekends • Consistent weekday schedule • No weekend rotation • Full-time position For an experienced veterinarian who wants predictability without giving up an interesting GP caseload, the schedule is one of the strongest differentiators of this opportunity. Clinical Autonomy + Strong Support Doctors are trusted to use their experience and clinical judgment while having a highly trained veterinary team available to support them. The goal is to allow veterinarians to focus their time on practicing medicine, managing cases, communicating with clients, and performing procedures rather than being pulled into tasks that can be appropriately delegated. The hospital values collaboration, but this is not an environment where an experienced veterinarian needs constant oversight. You’ll have room to practice independently while still being part of a supportive team. The Medicine The hospital provides comprehensive small animal care for dogs and cats, including: • Wellness and preventive medicine • Sick and complex medical appointments • General surgery • Dentistry • Diagnostic medicine • Long-term patient care The facility is well equipped with modern diagnostic and treatment capabilities to support a broad GP caseload. Surgical experience is particularly valuable, although the position is centered on comprehensive small animal general practice. Who They’re Looking For This position is best suited for an experienced small animal veterinarian who is comfortable managing cases independently. The ideal veterinarian will bring: • DVM, VMD, or equivalent degree • Ohio veterinary license or ability to obtain one • DEA license or eligibility • Small animal clinical experience • Confidence managing both wellness and sick appointments • General surgical proficiency preferred • Strong client communication skills • Ability to work effectively with and mentor veterinary support staff • A collaborative approach while maintaining clinical independence Compensation & Additional Incentives The practice offers a competitive compensation package that can include: • Competitive veterinarian compensation • Sign-on bonus • Relocation assistance when needed • Additional bonus at the first-year anniversary • Additional bonus at the second-year anniversary • 401(k) with employer match Benefits & Professional Support Eligible team members also have access to a comprehensive benefits package that includes: • Health and life insurance • Short- and long-term disability • Paid parental leave • Continuing education resources • Student loan support resources • Mental health and wellness resources • Backup childcare and elder-care support • Family-planning resources • Veterinary service and pet-care discounts Why Consider This Opportunity If you’re an experienced veterinarian who wants greater control over your medicine without sacrificing the support of a strong team, this position offers an appealing balance. You’ll have an established patient base, comprehensive GP medicine, opportunities to utilize surgical skills, clinical autonomy, and experienced support — with a Monday-through-Friday schedule and no weekends.
