Requirements
We are looking for a dependable, compassionate, and motivated Veterinary Assistant to join our team. This position plays an important role in supporting veterinarians and technicians while helping provide excellent care for our patients and outstanding service to pet owners. Responsibilities • Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during exams and procedures. • Safely restrain pets during treatments and examinations. • Prepare exam rooms, equipment, and supplies. • Feed, walk, and monitor hospitalized animals as directed. • Clean and sterilize instruments and treatment areas. (This includes kennels) • Assist with laboratory testing, X-Rays, and sample collections. • Support front desk staff when needed. • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment. Qualifications • Previous veterinary assistant or animal care experience preferred. • Passion for animal care and client service. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. • Comfortable handling animals of all sizes and temperaments. • Ability to lift to 50Lbs and stand for extended periods. • Willingness to learn and follow clinic protocols.
