Job Description

Oak Tree Veterinary Hospital is looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team as our Veterinary Technician Manager. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both hands-on patient care and helping a veterinary team work more effectively, consistently, and efficiently. We are a privately owned companion animal hospital serving the Cleveland Heights community for nearly 15 years. Our hospital operates out of a modern, state-of-the-art facility designed with both patient care and team workflow in mind. We have invested in new equipment, technology, and tools that allow our team to provide a wide range of high-quality medical and surgical services. About the Role As Veterinary Technician Manager, you will help lead our patient care team while remaining involved in the clinical side of the hospital. You will work closely with the practice manager, veterinarians, and support team to keep patient care running smoothly and help develop systems that make our day-to-day operations more efficient. Your responsibilities will include: Leading and supporting our veterinary technician and assistant team Helping coordinate daily patient care and workflow Participating in staff scheduling and identifying coverage needs Training and onboarding new team members Developing and maintaining training resources and clinical protocols Helping establish, implement, and maintain hospital policies and procedures Supporting consistent standards for patient care, safety, and medical quality Providing coaching, feedback, and ongoing development for team members Helping identify opportunities to improve efficiency and patient care Working with the management team to develop programs and processes that support excellent patient care Remaining involved in hands-on veterinary care and assisting the team when needed We are looking for someone who can provide structure and leadership while also being approachable and willing to jump in alongside the team. You do not need to have every answer on day one. We value people who are comfortable learning, communicating, solving problems, and helping build better systems. What We're Looking For Minimum of 3 years of veterinary technician experience At least 1 year of management or leadership experience preferred Strong clinical and organizational skills Comfortable providing training, coaching, and feedback Ability to communicate clearly with both medical and support team members Someone who enjoys improving processes and finding practical solutions A team-oriented approach to patient care Commitment to compassionate, low-stress handling and high-quality medicine A credentialed veterinary technician is preferred, but we are also interested in experienced veterinary professionals with strong clinical and leadership backgrounds.
