Requirements
Oak Tree Veterinary Hospital is a privately owned, four-doctor small animal practice in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. We recently moved into a brand-new, purpose-built hospital, giving our team the opportunity to work in a modern facility equipped with all-new equipment, technology, and tools. Our hospital was designed with both patient care and team efficiency in mind. We have two dedicated surgery suites, a separate dentistry suite, digital radiography including dental radiography, ultrasound, Companion Laser Therapy, Engler ventilators, and a full IDEXX in-house laboratory integrated with our EMR. We provide a broad range of services including wellness and preventive care, urgent care, hospitalization, dentistry, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, diagnostic ultrasound, chemotherapy, and exotic animal care. We see dogs, cats, small mammals, and reptiles, giving our technical team exposure to a wide variety of cases and opportunities to continue developing their skills. What You'll Do Provide hands-on patient care throughout appointments, hospitalization, surgery, dentistry, and other areas of the hospital. Assist doctors with appointments, diagnostics, treatments, procedures, anesthesia, and patient monitoring. Perform technical skills appropriate to your training and experience, with opportunities to continue developing your skill set. Assist with patient triage and help identify changes in patient condition. Maintain accurate medical records and follow established hospital protocols. Help maintain efficient patient flow and communicate effectively with doctors, technicians, assistants, and client service team members. Participate in ongoing training and continuing education. Work with a team that values teaching, learning, and sharing knowledge. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is confident in their technical abilities, willing to continue learning, and able to work effectively as part of a team. You should be comfortable asking questions, receiving feedback, and helping others when you have knowledge or skills to share. We value technicians and assistants who are interested in more than simply completing their daily tasks. We want team members who are willing to think critically, communicate, solve problems, and continually look for ways to improve patient care. RVT certification is preferred, but experienced Veterinary Assistants are encouraged to apply.
