Requirements
Seeking a bright, motivated, and enthusiastic veterinary technician. The Veterinary Technician is an integral member of the veterinary health care team, educated in the care and handling of animals. The Veterinary Technician should possess a strong veterinary skill set as well as superb customer service skills are a must to be successful in this position. Duties include: Perform venipuncture for phlebotomy and catheter placement Obtain laboratory sample collection, process and possibly interpret results (fecal/parasite analysis, ear cytology, skin cytology, urinalysis, blood smears) Perform diagnostic imaging Perform anesthesia Prep patients for and assist in surgery Perform dental prophies Administer vaccines and medications (oral, topical, injectable) Fill prescriptions and review directions with clients Communicate with and educate clients Provide compassionate patient care Job Type: Full-time Pay: $28.00 - $31.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred) Experience: Veterinary Experience: 1 year (Preferred) Veterinary Technician Experience: 2 years (Preferred) License/Certification: Veterinary Technician Certification (Preferred) Work Location: One location Work Remotely: No
