Job Description

We are working on behalf of a well established, owner led small animal practice in Glens Falls, NY that is looking to welcome an Associate Veterinarian to its growing team. This is a growth hire, not a replacement. The practice has served its community since 2006 and is now moving to a two clinic model, with its warm, home-like Glens Falls hospital joined by a larger, purpose built hospital with a double surgical suite in nearby Granville, NY. You can choose whichever location feels like the right home base for you. The caseload is classic general practice, from puppy and kitten visits through senior and palliative care, with a fair number of pocket pets and routine soft tissue surgery. You will have ultrasound, digital and dental radiology, and an in-house lab to work with, and the team is comfortable referring to specialists when that is the right call for the patient. Associates work a 4 day week, appointments run in 20-minute slots that can be double booked for more involved cases, and there is a protected midday block for lunch, callbacks, and case work. The owner is genuinely flexible on scheduling and on how doctors like to practice, and is happy to work around school pickups and other life commitments. New graduates are very welcome, with mentorship available at both locations, while experienced DVMs will find plenty of room to run their own caseload. The practice is also closely involved with local rescues and spay and neuter programs, and new doctors are encouraged to take part if that interests them. Key Highlights • Growth role in an independent, owner led practice serving the community since 2006 • Choose your home base: a cozy Glens Falls clinic or a larger, purpose built hospital in nearby Granville • 4 day workweek with real flexibility around your life outside work • Protected midday block for lunch, callbacks, and case work • Strong support team of licensed technicians, assistants, and client service staff • Ultrasound, digital and dental radiology, and an in-house lab • Mentorship available for new graduates at both locations • Opportunities to get involved with local rescues and spay and neuter programs About You • DVM or equivalent degree that allows you to practice veterinary medicine in the US • You hold, or are eligible for, licensure in New York • New graduates and experienced veterinarians are both encouraged to apply • Compassionate, client-focused, and mindful of client budgets • Comfortable with general practice medicine, with routine soft tissue surgery a plus • Interest in community and rescue work is welcome but not required Benefits • Straight salary of $100,000 to $170,000 depending on experience • 4 day workweek with flexible scheduling • Retirement plans • Continuing education covered • License fees covered • Generous paid time off
