Job Description

We are building a team of amazing people at our new hospital. We are looking for a highly motivated, client service representative and animal care assistant to share in the goal of providing the best possible care for our patients in a positive and friendly work environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent client communication skills, be professional, detail oriented, be hardworking and friendly. 1 year experience in the veterinary field is required. Job Duties (include but are not limited to): * Communicating via phone, email, and/ or in person with clients and actively listening to their concerns. * Scheduling appointments and using our computer information system to accurately process client payments and maintaining patient records. * Precisely dispensing pharmaceuticals as needed and calling in prescriptions to pharmacies. * Care for animals by bathing, feeding, watering, and husbandry care. * Assist in holding and restraining animals during exams and surgical procedures * Clean and sterilize instruments, equipment, and tools * Ensure exam and operating rooms are stocked and sterilized * Care for animals, bedding, and kennel materials * Ensure all cages and kennels are clean * Administer medications * Assist in collecting samples such as blood or urine for testing * Communicate with owners and families on surgery and recovery instructions
