Job Description

Cicero Animal Clinic is seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our team and support both outpatient care and procedural services, including surgery. We are seeking a versatile, client-focused technician who thrives in a dynamic general practice environment - managing exam room care, tech appointments, client communication, and hands-on procedural support with confidence and autonomy. We value credentialed technicians for the clinical knowledge, judgment, and communication skills they bring across all areas of the hospital, helping elevate the quality of medicine, client experience, and patient care. Training is considered for the right candidate. In this position, you will: Perform treatments and outpatient procedures with confidence and autonomy Manage exam room workflow, tech appointments, and client demonstrations Provide safe and effective sedation for routine and outpatient needs Lead and support anesthesia monitoring through surgical caseloads Run diagnostic laboratory equipment and interpreting in-house results Drive client education and communication with clarity and compassion Contribute to an organized, efficient treatment floor while mentoring and supporting junior team members Collaborate closely with veterinarians and support staff to deliver exceptional patient care Maintain accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation Schedule and compensation: Compensation: $25.00-$27.00 per hour, for each hour worked Schedule: This is a full-time position, typically scheduled 4 or 5 days per week, Monday-Friday. No weekends and no on-call requirements. Minimum qualifications and skill set: 1+ years of veterinary technician experience Active, good-standing Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) license in New York required Recent graduates pending VTNE testing, or out-of-state license-holders eligible to transfer, are encouraged to apply Proficient clinical skills including: Radiology, phlebotomy, and SQ injections Anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery Surgical assistance and aseptic technique Phlebotomy and IV catheter placement Cytology and in-house laboratory diagnostics Confident, independent performance of outpatient procedures and treatments Safe, low-stress patient handling and restraint Culture, character, and team fit: Someone who values culture as much as medicine A positive, reliable, drama-free team mindset A collaborative approach with a desire to support - and be supported by - your teammates A commitment to patient-centered care and continual growth Why You'll Love Working Here At Cicero Animal Clinic, LVTs are empowered to work at the top of their license.
