Assist with examinations, treatments, surgery, and dental procedures Administer and monitor anesthesia and support postoperative recovery Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and sample collection Run in-house laboratory diagnostics and obtain digital radiographs Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians Monitor hospitalized patients and provide compassionate nursing care Use safe, low-stress handling and restraint techniques Maintain accurate patient records and prepare prescriptions Educate clients on medications, treatment plans, and preventive care Maintain clean, organized clinical areas and support inventory management Follow hospital safety and controlled substance protocols Required Skills What You Bring Required Active New York State Veterinary Technician license Compassionate, team-oriented approach to patient care Strong communication and client service skills Ability to stay organized in a busy veterinary practice Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Preferred Experience with anesthesia, dentistry, radiology, laboratory diagnostics, and surgical support Familiarity with veterinary practice management software New graduates and newly licensed LVTs are encouraged to apply.
